Auction, Fun For All Ages

The Fairlawn Auxiliary Auction raised more than $37,000, Thursday, April 3, and Friday, April 4. Upper left: Karen Vonier, Archbold, auxiliary member, and Lucy Wohlfarth, 6, Chesterfield, Ind., stand next to Barbie's Dollhouse to demonstrate just how big it is. Lucy is the daughter of the former Renee Fenner, a 1991 Pettisville High School graduate, and the granddaughter of Maurice and Judy Fenner, Pettisville. The dollhouse sold for $500. It was built by Ralph Aschliman and donated by Stan and Cara Lou Grieser. Upper right: Brianna Lawson, 3, Fayette, hops right on the rocking horse her mother bought for $125. It was built by Bea Briggs, Archbold. Bottom left: Steve Goldsmith auctions the "Ceiling Tiles" quilt made by members of the Fairlawn Auxiliary. It sold for $3,600. Bottom right: Lydia Frey might just be the youngest bidder that night. The six-month-old daughter of Kevin and Lindsay Frey, Archbold, was holding grandma Joyce Frey's auction number.- photos by Mary Huber
