Man Facing Charges Over Theft From Local Convenience Store

Keil J. Thatcher, 22, rural Stryker, is facing a theft charge in Fulton County Western District Court on Tuesday, Feb. 12, after allegedly attempting to steal two candy bars.

The Archbold Police report on the incident states officers were called to the Friendship Food Mart at 12:48 am Saturday, Feb. 2.

The police report states Thatcher approached the counter, and attempted to purchase one candy bar; but the manager noticed there were allegedly two other candy bars in Thatcher's pocket. When asked about the other two candy bars, Thatcher said there was nothing in his pocket.

The total cost of the two candy bars: $2.

Officers issued Thatcher a summons to appear, and transported him to a residence in Archbold.
