United Way Has Discount Card For Prescription Help

A free prescription drug discount card is available through the Fulton County United Way, according to Gina Saaf, UW executive director.

Family Wize cards are primarily for persons with no health insurance or prescription coverage. The cards can be used when patients need to buy medicine not covered by health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or Veterans Administration benefits.

The card can reduce prescription drug costs by 35 percent. Most pharmacies throughout America accept the card.

Persons with Internet access can go to www.FamilyWize. org to print a card, check drug prices and a list of participating pharmacies.
