Romaigne C. Shafer Romaigne C. Shafer, age 74, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Friday evening, Feb. 1, 2008 at the Henry County Hospital. Born Feb. 9, 1933 in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, she was the daughter of David and Wilma (Habegger) Neuhauser. On Dec. 21, 1952, she married Leo "Butch" Shafer, of Napoleon, who survives. Romaigne was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene and its Women Ministries. Surviving also are two sons, Steve (Pam) Shafer, Jenison, Mich., and John (Chris) Shafer, Archbold, Ohio; two daughters, Paula (Glenn) Miller and Teresa Follett, both of Napoleon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; one brother, Paul (Marjorie) Neuhauser, Napoleon, Ohio and one sister, Evelyn (Alvin) Rosebrock, Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joan Neuhauser. Services were held at 11 a.m. yesterday, Tuesday, in the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene, Rev. David Lutz, officiating. Internment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Hospital Foundation or to the church. Arrangements were in care of the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio. |
