Items Stolen From Garage On Williams St.

A thief or thieves entered an unlocked detached garage in the village and took about $450 in property.

Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief, said in addition to property, items taken included a checking account debit card and two social security cards.

Bradley and Jennifer Dominique, 220 E. Williams Street, told officers they discovered the theft at 7:15 am, Monday, Jan 21. It occurred sometime between then and 11:59 pm the previous night.

The thief or thieves went through two unlocked autos in the garage and a third in the driveway, along with a cabinet in the garage.

Among the items taken was a compact disc player, worth $100, which was taken from the garage, and a digital music player, valued at $150.

The thief went through a purse in one of the vehicles, netting a driver license, the social security cards, and the debit card.

Schmidt said APD officers are investigating.
