Dan Borcherdt, a 2005 AHS graduate and son of Bob and Judy Borcherdt, scored 13 points in Mount Vernon Nazarene University's 78-68 conference win over Shawnee State University, Saturday, Jan. 19.

The victory upped MVNU's record to 15-2, 3-1 in the American Mideast Conference South Division. The Cougars are ranked fifth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Division II poll.
