Local Theatre Group Performs Mystery Mystery is in the air, when Archbold Community Theater presents A Murder is Announced, Feb. 22, 23, 29, March 1 and 2. Agatha Christie, the prolific and revered English crime writer, originally authored A Murder is Announced in 1950. The play is called one of her most electrifying mysteries ever. As with most Christie mysteries, it's filled with humor, plot twists, fantastic characters, and a touch of romance. Several Archbold thespians have roles in the production. Peggy Wright-Patterson is Miss Blacklock, owner of an English home where the murder takes place. Sara Leininger portrays Phillipa, who lives in Blacklock's home. Blacklcok's long-time friend, Bunny, is played by Teresa Van Sickle. Others from Archbold include Jan Delaney and David Stuckey. Fairy Riter, Stryker, is a member of the cast. Rehearsals are underway. The show will be presented in the theatre district of Ridgeville Corners in Giffey Hall. |
