School Board Holds Two Exec Sessions

The Archbold Area School Board held two one-hour executive sessions during the Monday night, Jan. 14 organizational and regular meetings.

The first, held at the start of the organizational meeting, was to discuss contract negotiations with the Archbold Education Association, which represents district teachers.

The second was for the discussion of compensation of a public employee, said David Deskins, district superintendent.

In other personnel actions, the board approved hiring Jennifer J. Hurst and Kisha Genter as long-term substitutes in the Archbold Elementary School. The two will fill in for teachers who have made maternity leave requests.

Marlyn Krueger and Mike Short were given supplemental contracts as assistants for the Archbold High School musical.

John Downey was approved as a volunteer coach for indoor track events.
