Archbold 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Archbold upped its record to 5-1 with a 40-13 victory over Swanton. Taylor Price and Tyson Dietrich each scored six points in the opening stanza to get the Streaks off to a hot start as they built a 15-2 lead. Archbold held Swanton to two points in the second to take a 23-4 lead into the locker room.

The second half saw more of the same as Zeb Frank bucketed seven of his 12 points in the third to build a 39-9 lead. Swanton outscored Archbold in the fourth, but the Streaks walked away with the win.

Archbold 8th Grade Girls Basketball

Archbold opened the new year with a 55-16 victory over visiting Swanton, Thursday, Jan. 3. Archbold got off to a good start with some steals that led to easy baskets. The Streaks also moved the ball down the court with some good passing. "Everyone on the team contributed in the final score, as well as making steals, grabbing a rebound, passing the ball to the open person and decent defense," said Nancy Moser, coach.
