Pettisville Picks Up Road Victory At North Central

Using a balanced attack, the Pettisville boys basketball team brought home a 77-37 Buckeye Border Conference victory from North Central, Thursday, Jan. 3.

Pettisville is 8-1, 4-0 BBC. North Central dropped to 1-8, 0-4 BBC.

Both teams started fast, and PHS led 21-14 after one quarter. Pettisville extended the advantage to 42-23 at halftime. The Birds outscored the Eagles 19-8 in the third for a 61-31 lead going into the fourth. Pettisville kept NC in single digits in the final eight minutes, bucketing 16 points to the Eagles' six for a 77-37 final.

Logan Frey led PHS with 21 points. Quinn Nofziger and Michael Deffely both added 13.

The Birds were 5/7 from the free throw line for 71% and 27/38 from two-point range for a blistering 71%. PHS also made six three-pointers.

The Eagles were 4/13 from the line for 31% and 12/24 from two-point range for 50%.

Pettisville out-rebounded the Eagles 22-21, and committed 13 turnovers to NC's 27.
