Snow filled N. Defiance St. after the worst snowstorm in Archbold history struck Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1978 and continued for three days. The blizzard dumped 21 3/4 inches of snow in four days, paralyzing traffic, closing schools, churches, and businesses, and isolating families in their homes. By Saturday morning, Jan. 28, one wouldn't have known there was a storm, as loyal, round-the-clock workers hauled it away.- Buckeye file photo
