Teresa Emma (Siebenaler) Jones
She was born on May 8, 1918, in Blakeslee, Ohio, the daughter of William and Rose (Huard) Siebenaler. She married Harold E. Jones on July 25, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2000. Teresa was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, where she was active in the Shamrock Circle and the Young at Heart Club. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montpelier, where she was active in the Altar & Rosary Society and the St. Catherine's Circle. Teresa was also active in the West Unity C.B.S. Study Club, Hilltop Band Parents and the Extension Homemakers. She also served as a volunteer quilter at Sauder Village. She was a R.S.V.P. Volunteer and a former 4-H Advisor. Teresa volunteered along with her husband Harold, with various American Cancer Society projects and founding of the Williams County Parkinson's Support Group. She was an avid quilter, cook, and seamstress. She also enjoyed playing bridge and Scrabble. Surviving are her children, William and his wife Janie Jones of San Diego, Calif., Mary Ellen and her husband William Vandivier of Pittsburgh, Pa., Stephen and his wife, Linda Jones, of Montpelier, Daniel, and his wife, Sherry Jones of Fairview Park, Ohio, Laura, and her husband, Tracy Rohlf of West Unity; 15 grandchildren, Mollie and Scottie Jones, Ellie and her husband Kevin Fleming, Owen and his wife, Jaye Vandivier, Peter Vandivier, Amy and her husband Kevin Scott, Jeff and his wife, Selena Jones, Greg and his wife, Sarah Jones, Heather, Kelly, Nathan and Adam Jones, Denny and his wife Ali Rohlf, Krysten and Michael Rohlf; five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Katelyn Scott, Jocelyn and Ethan Jones and Addy Jones. She is also survived by her sister in-law, Jackie Bowers of Huntington, Ind., along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Martha Ann in 1953; five sisters, Isabelle Lirot, Florence Siebenaler, Wilma Welsh, Marie Siebenaler and Frances Clark; seven brothers, Linus, Raymond, Paul, Simon, Homer, Clarence and James Siebenaler. Funeral services for Teresa E. Jones will be held at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee. Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. in the Oberlin Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, with recitation of the Rosary at 8 pm Wednesday evening. Memorials in the name of Teresa E. Jones may be given to the Bryan Area Foundation, St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Harold E. and Teresa E. Jones Memorial Scholarship, C/O Hilltop High School.
