Tax Bills Mailed, Due Feb. 15

The deadline for paying Fulton County property taxes is extended to Friday, Feb. 15, according to Bev Schlosser, Fulton County treasurer.

Normally, the deadline is Feb. 5.

Tax bills were delayed because of problems in making a new computer program work with the printing service at Newark, Ohio.

Schlosser said the company has printed Fulton County tax bills for three years.

Schlosser was originally told the bills would be mailed today, Wednesday, Jan. 9, but then the company called to say they were mailed Friday, Jan. 4.

"We like to have them out the day after Christmas, because a lot of people like to pay them before year end," she said.

Persons who have not received their bills should contact the treasurer office, she said.
