Police Receive Complaint Of Offensive Snow Sculpture

An Archbold Police officer asked an artist, who chose snow as his or her medium, to demolish a five-foot tall sculpture.

The police department report on the incident states on Saturday, Dec. 22, at about 5:30 pm, Fulton County Sheriff Dispatchers received an anonymous complaint of the snow sculpture, which the caller said was offensive.

When the officer arrived at the scene, in the 100 block of South Lincoln Street, he asked the artist to destroy the sculpture. The artist complied.

The report did not indicate the nature or subject of the work.
