Pettisville Voters In Step On School Vote

With an approval rate of 56.5 percent, Pettisville voters were one of the 144 Ohio school districts that approved a school tax issue, Tuesday, Nov. 4. Pettisville school district citizens gave support to the school bond issue with 609 votes of approval. There were 469 voters who cast opposing votes.

In the fall general election there were 236 school tax issues on Ohio ballots. Of the issues, 61.0%, or 144 issues, were approved. That rate was the highest in a general election since November 2001, when 66.67% of school issues passed.

Statistics show Pettisville voters know the value of their school and what their students need. The statewide approval rate of school issues also shows Ohio voters value their schools.

Like Archbold, the Pettisville school district produces quality graduates. Students from both schools go on to earn college degrees or pursue trades and get good jobs. They are assets to the community.

Teachers and facilities are part of what make outstanding students, along with parents, family, and community. In a few years the Pettisville school district will enjoy the pleasures of a new school building. It will be a credit to the voters.
