      Jessica Robbins, a Pettisville High School graduate, will compete in the All-American Quarter Horse Congress queen competition in Columbus, Ohio this month. She is one of 28 young women competing for the title at the largest single breed horse show in the world.

      Steve Switzer, superintendent of the Pettisville Local School District, has been named the recipient of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators' Warren Russell Leadership Award. Switzer received the award during the BASA Fall Conference, Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Columbus.

FFA News
      The Pettisville FFA held an ag safety day, Friday, Sept. 26 to demonstrate the dangers of farm machinery to students in grades K-6 plus the agriculture students. Members of Healthy Lifestyles Committee showed the dangers of the harvest season. Tractors, a combine, a semi-truck, and a livestock trailer were brought to the school.
