Honeymoon In Jamaica
      Jenna Grime and Stephen Wachtmann exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m., April 5, 2008, at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Stryker. Dale Kern was the officiating pastor. Mary Grime and Micah Grime performed music on the organ/piano and trumpet.

Higbea, Roche To Marry On Beach
      Lee and Kathy Higbea, Defi ance, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelly, to Tim Roche, son of Pat and Carol, Grand Blanc, Mich. The bride-elect received her bachelor's degree from Valparaiso (Ind.) University, and her master's degree from Miami (Ohio) University, in communications.

Tyler Priest Goes Home
      Tyler Priest, 13, went home to Van Wert, Thursday, Oct. 2, 88 days after he was critically injured in a fall from a tractor on Sunday, July 6. Tyler is the son of Bob Priest, a former Archbold High School teacher and football coach, and Kara Priest.

What's Going On?
      A surprising event took place on Lake Bartholomew, Mich., Thursday afternoon, Oct. 2. Mary Sue Miller, Bryan, a summer resident at the lake, was on the water in her paddleboat. Two pontoon boatloads of Amish passed by at close range. Amish men were piloting at the controls of both gas-powered watercraft. She said each boat was loaded with Amish people.
