Marvin J. Roth

Marvin J. Roth, 80, of Fayette, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.

He was born March 19, 1928, in Franklin Township, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Sarah (Frame) Roth. He married Jane A. LaSalle on Sept. 30, 1956, in Winameg, Ohio, and she survives.

Marvin retired from Whitmer Heating and Plumbing in Wauseon in 2007, with 40 years of service. He also farmed all of his life.

Marvin was a member of the Fayette Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, camping, and playing cards. He was an avid sports fan who proudly supported the Fayette Athletic Boosters.

Surviving Marvin besides his wife, Jane, of Fayette, are two daughters, Sue (Greg) Armstrong of Fayette, and Tina (Brad) Rufenacht of Pettisville; five grandchildren, Heather (Todd) Nosker, Heath Armstrong, Tanner, Jaelyn, and Logan Rufenacht; and one great grandson, Cameron Nosker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Wanda Leininger, Winona Graf, Marjorie Garrow, and Boneta Dominique; and one brother, Morris Roth.

Funeral services for Marvin were Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Gene Sugg officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.
