The Archbold cross country teams hosted a tri-meet with Bryan and Montpelier, Tuesday, Sept. 16. Bryan won the boys race with 25 points. Archbold was second with 38; Montpelier followed with 61.

The Golden Bears also won the girls race, with 22 points. Montpelier had 43; Archbold had 79.

Boys

Adrian Ramirez won the race in 18 minutes, 12 seconds.

Second for AHS was Michael Volkman. He finished fourth in 19:48. Justin Storrer placed eighth in 20:17. Chan Tinsman finished 12th in 20:44. Jacob Gobrogge was next, placing 13th in 20:46.

Chris Jennings was 31st in 24:25.

Girls

First for Archbold was Laura Bowman. She was 12th in 25:21.

Jackie Bell finished 17th in 26:27; Elise Sauder was 27th in 28:14. Amanda Storrer finished 30th in 32:19.

Paige Price rounded out the scoring; she placed 31st in 42:53.

Bryan's McKenzi Frazier won in 22:27.

"I think the team has worked hard. They are tired and run down after the big meet (at Delta) last Saturday in the rain," said Mike Wachtmann, AHS coach.

"It was a warm meet at the reservoirs on the hills. With a little bit of time to recover, the team should be ready to compete by the Northwest Ohio Athletic League meet," Saturday, Oct. 11.
