Parents Announce Sept. 27 Wedding
      Edward and Julie Ruffer, Archbold, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole, to Steven Robert Schink, Jones, Mich., son of Jim and Dawn Hill and Robert and Nancy Schink. The bride-elect is a graduate of Archbold High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Ind.

Couple Planning Nov. 22 Wedding
      Brooke Renner, Mishawaka, Ind., and Daniel Wynja, South Bend, Ind., announce their engagement. The bride-elect is the daughter of Bob and Janet Renner, Osceola, Ind. She graduated from Penn High School in 1999, and earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Bethel College. She is a teacher at Hums Elementary School.

      Application forms for the 2008 Archbold Citizen of the Year are due Sept. 30. Applications are available online at www.archbold.com, at the Archbold Area Chamber of Commerce office, Archbold Buckeye, downtown locations of Farmers & Merchants State Bank and Huntington Bank, and the Archbold Community Library.

Honor Student
      Laura Bruner, a Pettisville High School graduate, was named to the Ohio State University honor roll for the summer 2008 quarter. She earned a 4.0 grade point average. To be named to the honor roll a student must have a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours.
