Monarch Day Coming Soon

Tagging Monarch butterflies has been a passion of Pat Hayes of Kelleys Island for 26 years.

Hayes will bring his expertise to the property of Ed and Carol Nofziger, on St. Rt. 2 just west of Pettisville, Sunday, Sept. 7, from 1-3 p.m.

Hayes will discuss the Monarch habitat and their journey southward. He will demonstrate Monarch tagging that all can participate in.

The Nofzigers have installed various conservation practices on their land through the Fulton Soil and Water Conservation District and the Farm Service Agency. These practices greatly contribute to the Monarchs' habitat.
