      Chris Leupp, Archbold, flies through the air in his Rough Truck racer, one of more than 100 competitors entered in the Fulton County Fair Rough Truck competition, Saturday night. The racers, driving pickups and sport-utility vehicles, make one lap of a track that includes a mud hole, jumps, and ramp in a race against the clock.

      Barack Obama and Joe Biden, Democratic candidates for president and vice president, stopped at a lakeshore restaurant at Hamilton Lake, Ind., Sunday afternoon, Aug. 31. Tim Smith, Archbold, was in attendance. Obama didn't want Tim's advice, but they shook hands and exchanged greetings.
