Questions: The Scoop Crisis
      After the Archbold Area School Board decided not to offer Kevin "Scoop" Miller a supplemental contract to coach varsity girls basketball, the topic became the talk of the town. And thus, we are again back on the balance beam: which is more important, Miller's privacy or the public's right to know?

Compromise Effort Dies; Stand By For Sick Days Fight
      With a two-paragraph press release last week, Ted Strickland, Ohio governor, announced that the effort to find a compromise between the parties in the Ohio Healthy Families Act debate failed. The OHFA is a ballot issue that, if passed, will mandate employers with 25 or more workers to provide seven paid sick days a year.

Letter To The Editor
      I was reading the Archbold Buckeye article, "Council Okays Beer Tent For Chili Cook-off," and was disturbed by the seeming trend of Fulton County villages to bow to the economic pressures of today by offering alcohol at what is advertised as a family event.
