Streak Golfers 4th In Defiance Invitational

Bryan won the invite with a team score of 295. Anthony Wayne was second with a 300; Wauseon, last year's winner, was third with a 300.

Archbold finished with a team score of 316.

Bryan's Zach Davenport and Wauseon's Kaleb Figy were match medalists with rounds of 71. Archbold's Steven Kinsman shot a 37-35-72.

Jacob Nafziger shot a 37-40- 77; Tyler Bernath, 39-42-81; Olley Short, 41-45-86; and Tyson Bostelman, 44-46-90.

AHS 151, Fayette 171, Ayersville 176, Pettisville (no team score)

With skies overcast and temperatures in the low 80-degree range, the Blue Streaks won a quad-meet with Ayersville, Fayette, and Pettisville, Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Wauseon.

The Streaks won by 20 strokes over second-place Fayette.

Kinsman was match medalist with a score of 34. Other Blue Streaks: Bernath 39, Nafziger 39, Short 39, Bostelman 41, Jarrett Yoder 43.

Fayette: Caleb Brinegar 36, Austin Hylander 42, Elliott Richardson 45, Chase Hookstadt 48, Jonathon Boesger 54, Nelson Barnhiser 55.

Ayersville: Logan Wolfrum 38, Zac Bauman 44, Sam Ewers 47, Mark Schroeder 47, Alec Saxman 50, Delton Combs 51.

Pettisville: Dylan Weirauch 47, Mike McDermott 64, Andrew Miller 68.

"I was very pleased with our finish on Monday," said Kevin Miller, AHS coach.

"I believe it was a record for an 18-hole round for Archbold, and then on Wednesday, I believe it was also a record ninehold round for us, so I'm very happy.

"We had four guys in the 30s; I don't believe this group had done that before."
