Honeymoon In Hawaii
      Eric Fletcher, Archbold, and Jamie Crnkovic, Mentor, exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m., July 12, 2008 at Advent Lutheran Church, Mentor. Joseph Kovitch was the officiating pastor. Liz Sumeiski was the organist. The bride wore a white beaded strapless gown with pearls and a sweetheart neckline, and a fingertip veil.

      Dan and Sandy Burkholder, Delta, announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon, to Benjamin Grime, son of Roger and Beth, Archbold. The bride-elect is a 2000 Delta High School graduate and a 2004 Bowling Green State University graduate. She is employed as an intensive care unit nurse at Toledo Hospital.

      Charles Rupp and Jeanette Balzer were married on Aug. 21, 1948 at the Burns Avenue Baptist Church, Detroit, Mich., by Reuben Short, the officiating pastor. During 41 years in pastoral ministry, they served in Woodburn, Ind.; Midland, Mich.; Gridley, Ill.; and Lawton, Mich., before moving to Archbold in 1993.

      Charles (Chuck) Lugbill and Shirley Rupp were married Aug. 15, 1948, at the Defenseless (Evangelical) Mennonite Church, Archbold, by Reuben Short, the officiating pastor. The Lugbills have two sons, Jerry (Sandra), Durres, Albania, and Tim (Carolyn), Fairfax, Va. They have five grandchildren.

      James E. Rupp and Mary Jane (Rickly) Rupp were married Aug. 23, 1958 in the Liberty Center Methodist Church by David L. Eichar, the officiating pastor. They have four children: Jonathan (Debra) Rupp, Fayette; Mary Beth (Bruce) Reid, Hillsdale, N.J.; Marsha (Craig) Salisbury, Pettisville; and Jack (Angel) Rupp, Archbold. They have 12 grandchildren.

      Mr. and Mrs. Richard Witteborg, Defiance, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Caitlin, to Nathan Bird, Defiance, son of Charles Bird, Archbold, and Ina Bird, Sherwood. The bride-elect is a graduate of Defiance High School. She graduated from Hocking College with a degree in backcountry horsemanship and equine health.

      Several Archbold and Pettisville graduates were named to the 2008 spring semester dean's and president's lists at the University of Toledo. Students named to the dean's list must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and be enrolled as a full-time student. Students named to the president's list earned a 4.0 GPA.
