Aug. 3

11:43 pm: Suspicious vehicle, 1900 block S. Defiance St., advised six juveniles to call it a night.

Aug. 4

8:32 pm: Citation to Daniel Alaniza, 48, Archbold for DUI and driving while license suspended.

Aug. 5

1:20 pm: Stray dog, Elm St. at West St., took to pen, advised dog warden; owner later claimed dog, advised dog owner of ordinance prohibiting dogs running loose.

Aug. 6

1:20 pm: Lost wallet, 500 block Brussel St.

1:53 pm: A semi truck, driven by Theodore M. Rikeman, 45, Jefferson, Ga., owned by J. B. Hunt Transportation, Lowell, Ark., traveling east on Stryker St., turned right, to go south on S. Defiance St. The trailer went over the curb and struck a yellow pole installed at the intersection.

1:54 pm: Rikeman was traveling south on S. Defiance St., and attempted to make a righthand turn to go west on W. Mechanic St. The semi struck a Toledo Edison utility pole on the northwest corner of the intersection; the pole was broken, and live electrical wires fell onto the trailer. A street light also was destroyed. Rikeman cited for making improper right turn.

Aug. 7

8:33 am: Found wallet in alley, 200 block Ditto St., notified owner.

12:41 pm: Traffic stop, verbal warning for speed, citation to Patrick Stewart Ruffer, 18, rural Stryker, seat belt.

Aug. 8

4:05 pm: Citation to William Perry Strother, 41, Baltimore, Md., traffic control device, 400 block E. Lutz Rd.

Aug. 9

2:06 pm: Citation to Shawn M. Cunningham, 27, Stryker, failure to display license plate, Nolan Parkway at Weires Dr.

4:42 pm: Car, driven by Bradley A. Short, 103 South St., backing out of his yard into the alley on the east side of S. Defi- ance Street, between Union and South streets. Vehicle struck a parked pickup truck owned by Lavon D. Short, Archbold.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police issued verbal warnings for speeding, stop sign, no trucks, illegal left turn.
