Fulton County Junior Fair Queen Candidates Named

Candidates for the 2008 Fulton County Junior Fair queen were recently announced by the county extension office.

Candidates for queen are Katie Weber. Kalley Martin, Ashley McGilvery, Janice Stasa, and Joyce Stasa.

Weber, daughter of Kurt and Kamie, is a senior at Pettisville High School. The youngest of three children, she is involved in FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, volleyball, basketball, and softball. She will show a market hog at the fair.

Martin is a senior at Fayette High School. She plays volleyball and participated in her first year of cheerleading. She has been in 4-H for nine years.

She has shown horses, rabbits, dairy heifers, and cows. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family.

McGilvery is a recent Delta High School graduate, and has been in FFA four years.

Janice Stasa is a junior at Swanton High School and Penta Career Center, and is an eight-year member of the Goats and Udder Things 4-H Club.

Joyce Stasa is a senior at Penta Career Center. She is a nine-year member of the Goats and Udder Things 4-H Club.

The 2008 Junior Fair King and Queen will be announced at the Fulton County Fair, Saturday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. Crowning is at the south free entertainment stage, off the midway.
