Tyler Priest Transferred To Toledo Children's Hospital
      Tyler Priest, 13, formerly of Archbold, was transferred to Toledo Children's Hospital, Monday, Aug. 4. He is in room 1508. He has been at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Ind., since July 6, when he was injured after attempting to climb onto a moving tractor. He slipped and fell, and was run over.

      Talk about a small world… Robert Freeman, of Ridgeville Corners, was recently a judge and master of ceremonies for a beauty pageant. But it wasn't just any beauty pageant; it was the Miss Sudan beauty pageant, held in Kansas City, Mo., early last month.

Fulton County Junior Fair Queen Candidates Named
      Candidates for the 2008 Fulton County Junior Fair queen were recently announced by the county extension office. Candidates for queen are Katie Weber. Kalley Martin, Ashley McGilvery, Janice Stasa, and Joyce Stasa. Weber, daughter of Kurt and Kamie, is a senior at Pettisville High School.

      The Pettisville Ever-Ready 4- H Club held its eighth meeting, Monday, July 23, at the Archbold park. Following a meal was a short meeting, then swimming at the Archbold pool. State fair representatives were recognized. The club will sell season pass tickets to the Fulton County Fair at the next meeting. 4-H youth passes are $1.

Pick Up Packets At Career Center
      Students registered to attend Four County Career Center this fall can pick up schedules and other important information during Packet Pick-Up Days, Aug. 12 and 14, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Students may also pay their school fees and check on uniform orders at that time.

Earns Scholarship
      Ryan Lauber, son of J.R. and Linda, Archbold, received the Dorothy Kruder Smith scholarship from the Ohio State University, Department of Horticulture and Crop Science. He received the scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements at the university, and for his potential success in the Ohio nursery and landscape industry after graduation.
