Little League

Little League Team 1 traveled to Wauseon to play the Indian "B" team, Friday, June 27. The Streaks used a five-run fourth inning to propel them to a come-from-behind 9-7 win.

Levi Wyse made his first start, pitching two innings and giving up seven runs on four hits while walking seven and striking out one. Derek Walker picked up the win in his pitching debut, shutting down the Indians. He pitched three innings and gave up no runs on one hit with one strikeout and a walk.

Emerson Radabaugh pitched the sixth inning to earn the save, giving up a hit and striking out two.

Leading the comeback at the plate were Troy Flores and Kenny Price with a double and single each. Radabaugh added two singles. Jacob Wagner, Chandler Wyse, and Coltin Kinsey had hits.

Montpelier came to town and left with a 12-7 victory, Monday, June 30. Wagner started on the mound, giving up six runs in three innings on four hits, striking out two, and walking two. Radabaugh finished the game, giving up six runs on three hits with three strikeouts.

Michael Hesterman led Archbold at the plate with two singles. Wagner, Price, Radabaugh, and Kinsey each had one hit.

Archbold finished the regular season with an 18-8 five-inning victory at Liberty Center, Wednesday, July 2.

Radabaugh picked up the win, pitching three innings, giving up four runs on three hits while striking out one. Walker pitched the final two innings, giving up four runs on five hits and walking one.

The hitting hero for the night was Radabaugh with two home runs and seven runs batted in. Flores and Wagner each had two singles.

Price, Aaron Schmucker, and Walker chipped in with hits. Walker added 3 RBIs; Price and Kinsey each had 2 RBIs.

Archbold (10-4) plays in the league tournament, Wednesday, July 9, 6 p.m. at Wauseon.
