AHS Baseball Wins Opener

The Archbold baseball team (1-0) picked up a 10-5 seasonopening victory at North Central (0-3), Saturday, April 5.

Breaking a scoreless deadlock, the Streaks exploded for five runs in the third and five more in the fifth.

The Eagles scored three runs in the third and two in the bottom of the seventh.

Paxson Miller picked up the win, giving up three hits, striking out two and walking one in three innings. Marc Miller and David Rupp pitched in relief.

Archbold pounded out eight hits. Jack Downey led the way with a single and a double. Miller hit two singles.

Nick Fee suffered the loss, giving up five runs on five hits and walking three in four innings.
