Carrie Miller

Carrie Miller, age 96 years, of Archbold, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 26, 2008 at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, where she had resided since April 2, 2007.

She was born Jan. 30, 1912 near Archbold, a daughter of Samuel and Katie (Nofziger) Sauder. She married Martin J. Miller on June 5, 1932, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1974.

A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she was a homemaker and dipped chocolate for Al- Meda Candies. She did volunteer work at Care & Share, and was a member of the Central Mennonite Church near Archbold.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Miller and Robert (Mary) Miller, both of Archbold, and Jerry (Martha) Miller of Leslie, Mich.; three daughters, Annabelle (Ed) Carlin of Archbold, Doris (John) Eberly of LaJanta, Colo., and Linda (James) Howard of Jackson, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Viola Aeschliman of Wauseon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Edwin Sauder and Melvin Sauder; and three sisters, Emma Grieser, Fannie Sauder, and Laura Roth.

Memorial services were held on Monday at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Jeffrey Smith, Wanda Stopher, and Bill Holsopple officiating. Interment preceded in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold was in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggets that memorials be given to the Central Church.
