The Archbold boys basketball team won the Div. III district championship at Napoleon tonight, Saturday, March 1.

The Streaks beat Genoa 50-30 in the district final.

The Comets led 11-10 after one period, but were outscored 14-3 in the second period as the Streaks took a 24-14 lead into the locker room.

Genoa's cold shooting continued in the third period. The Comets didn't score until 4:14 was left in the period, and AHS led 35-20 after three.

Archbold faces Bucyrus Wynford in a Div. III regional semifinal, Wednesday, March 5 at 8:15 p.m. at Bowling Green State University. Wynford defeated Ontario 54-52 in overtime to win the Mansfield district.

In Wednesday's opener at 6:15 p.m., Cuyahoga Falls CVCA meets Ottawa-Glandorf. CVCA beat Rocky River Lutheran West 76-65 to win the Elyria district. OG beat St. Henry 61-51 to win the Elida district.

The regional final is Saturday, March 8, 7:30 p.m. at BGSU.–Updated 3.1, 10:09 pm
