Pettisville Pushes Past Pirates 62-53
Both teams started slow, and Pettisville (6-1) held an 8-7 lead after one period. Continental kept the game close, and the Birds led 26-23 at halftime. Pettisville came out of the locker room on fire, scoring 23 points in the third to Continental's 11 to take a commanding 49-34 lead. The Pirates outscored PHS 19-13 in the fourth for the 62-53 final. Josh Bruner and Michael Haase led the Birds with 14 points each. PHS was 20/36 from the floor for 56%, including 4/8 from behind the arc, and 18/29 from the charity stripe for 62%.
