Winter Tournament Sites Get Shuffled

Sectional and district tournament sites have been shuffled around for 2007-08 winter sports.

Wauseon is no longer a site for the Division IV sectional boys or girls basketball tourneys, and Napoleon has become a district site for both boys and girls basketball.

Boys Basketball

Archbold is one of six teams in the Div. III boys basketball sectional at Defiance High School, Feb. 19, 20, and 22, 2008.

Area tourney sites and schools:

•Defiance High School: Archbold, Fairview, Hicksville, Montpelier, Paulding, Tinora.

•Sylvania Southview High School: Delta, Evergreen, Genoa, Lake, Liberty Center, Ottawa Hills, Swanton.

•The Defiance and Sylvania Southview sectional tournament winners compete in the district tourney at Napoleon High School, Feb. 28 and March 1.

Pettisville is in the Div. IV sectional tournament at Bryan High School, Feb. 19, 20, and 22, 2008.

•Bryan High School: Pettisville, Stryker, Fayette, Hilltop, North Central, Edon, Edgerton.

•Ottawa-Glandorf High School: Ayersville, Continental, Holgate, Leipsic, McComb, Miller City, Patrick Henry.

•The Bryan and Ottawa- Glandorf sectional tournament winners compete in the district tourney at Napoleon High School, Feb. 26 and 29.

Girls Basketball

Archbold is one of six teams at the Div. III girls basketball sectional at Defiance High School, Feb. 12 and 16, 2008.

Area tourney sites and schools:

•Defiance High School: Archbold, Delta, Fairview, Liberty Center, Montpelier, Tinora.

•Northwood High School: Evergreen, Cardinal Stritch, Lake, Otsego, Rossford, Swanton.

•The Defiance sectional tournament winners compete in the district tourney at Napoleon High School, Feb. 21 and 23. The Northwood sectional tourney winners compete in the district tourney at Findlay, Feb. 21 and 23.

Pettisville is in the Div. IV sectional tournament at Bryan High School, Feb. 12, 13, and 16, 2008.

•Bryan High School: Pettisville, Stryker, Fayette, Hilltop, North Central, Edon, Edgerton.

•Ottawa-Glandorf High School: Ayersville, Continental, Fort Jennings, Holgate, Kalida, Miller City, Patrick Henry.

Wrestling

Archbold hosts the Div. III sectional wrestling tourney, Feb. 16 and 17, 2008.

Schools at the sectional include Archbold, Ayersville, Delta, Edgerton, Fairview, Hicksville, Liberty Center, Montpelier, Patrick Henry, Paulding, Stryker, Swanton, and Tinora.

The Div. III district tournament is at Owens Community College, Feb. 22-23.
