Collegiate Connection Kendra Stahl, a 2004 AHS graduate and daughter of Tim and Barb Stahl, scored two points in Huntington (Ind.) University's 56-47 women's basketball victory over Malone College, Saturday, Dec. 1. - - - Alex Nafziger, a 2007 Pettisville High School graduate and son of Ron and Liz Nafziger, scored seven points in Huntington (Ind.) University's 95-60 men's basketball victory over the University of St. Francis, Saturday, Dec. 8. The Foresters (9-3) are ranked 13th in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division II. Chelsea Wyse, an Archbold High School graduate and junior at Bluffton University, recently finished the 2007 volleyball season. A defensive specialist/setter, Wyse played in 112 games. She recorded 54 aces, 266 digs, and 468 assists. BU finished with an 11-20 record and was 2-6 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Wyse is the daughter of Gary and Robin Wyse, Archbold. - - - Dan Borcherdt, a 2005 AHS graduate and son of Bob and Judy Borcherdt, recorded seven assists in Mount Vernon Nazarene University's 80-63 victory over Daemen (N.Y.) College, Saturday, Dec. 1. He contributed 14 points and four assists in MVNU's 91-69 non-conference victory at Malone College, Tuesday, Dec. 4. Borcherdt scored 14 points, including four treys, and seven assists in the Cougars' 103-69 victory over the University of Michigan-Dearborn in an opening game of the 14th annual Food for the Hungry Holiday Invitational, Friday, Dec. 7. He handed a game-high seven assists as the Cougars remain undefeated with an 80-68 victory over Kenyon College in the championship game of the Holiday Invitational, Saturday, Dec. 8. MVNU, ranked eighth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division II, is 9-0 on the season. |
