      Alex Short, son of Brad and Rachel Short, Archbold, is the December "Kid That Cares" at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home, Archbold. Short has an older sister Abby and a dog Kipper. He attends Archbold Elementary School, where his favorite subjects are math and science.
