Signs Point To Arson In Dec. 1 Stryker Barn Fire

Kevin Beck, Williams County Sheriff, said while a Dec. 1 barn fire near Stryker has not offi- cially been ruled an arson, "all things are pointing to it."

The fire destroyed the barn, located at 24635 Williams County Rd. F-50. It was also the site of a Sept. 24 fire, which destroyed an unoccupied house.

Beck said there was no electrical service to the barn, which takes away one possible cause of the blaze.

Archbold and Stryker fire departments were called to fight the fire about 12:57 am. Before it was over, three other departments were on scene to assist.

Beck said arson investigators for the State Fire Marshall office were on scene and investigating the blaze.
