Pettisville School Burglary Is Crime Stopper Topic

A burglary at the Pettisville High School has been named the crime of the month by the Fulton County Crime Stopper program.

In a press release, Crime Stopper officials said thieves used a window on the south side of the school building to gain entrance sometime over the weekend of Dec. 1.

A safe, which had been broken in, was found in the gym. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the safe.

Fulton County Sheriff Department deputies discovered a saw blade, a wrench, locking pliers, and a pair of regular pliers.

Some classrooms were entered.

Tracey Zuver, a FCSD sergeant, said the theft is under investigation.
