Local Man Cited For Failure to Control

Melvon T. Winchester, 49, rural Archbold, was cited Wednesday, Nov. 28, for failure to control the pickup he was driving.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report states that while traveling east on US20A, the Winchester pickup went off the right side of the road and struck the Fulton-Williams County Line sign, causing disabling damage.

Winchester, uninjured, drove home on three tires.

Dawn D. Leady, 43, rural Fayette, was not cited when the car she was driving went off the left side of Co. Rd. 23 while taking a curve, Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The FCSD reports states the auto struck a ditch and went into a field. The incident occurred at 2:26 p.m., six-tenths (.6) of a mile south of Co. Rd. L.

Leady was uninjured.
