Sauder Village Attendance Tops 82,000 During 2007 Attendance at Sauder Village was up 1,436 during 2007 when compared to 2006. Kim Krieger, Sauder Village director of marketing, said attendance totaled 82,062 during 2007, an increase of about 1.78% from the 2006 total of 80,626. Inn Expansion She attributed much of the increase to the expanded Sauder Heritage Inn. "Over the past year, we have seen an increase in leisure and business travelers, as well as increased events, including class and family reunions, weddings, meetings, and conventions," she said. The Village obtained a liquor permit in 2007. "With the additional guest rooms, and the option of having alcohol served at private functions, (we) are a full-service destination for conferences and other special events. "Over the past 12 months, we have seen a significant increase in the number of weddings, parties, and other events," Krieger said. For 2008 For the coming year, Krieger said Sauder Village officials "will continue to promote Sauder Village as a unique destination in Northwest Ohio."- David Pugh |
