Plenty Of Laughs In ACT Production Of Pink Panther

Veteran actors and newcomers provided one of the finest opening nights for Archbold Community Theatre, Friday, Nov. 30, during the comedy, The Pink Panther Strikes Again. The cast captivated the large opening night crowd at Giffey Hall, Ridgeville Corners.

The laugh-filled play brought out the performers' best, and the audience responded with roars of laughter and applause. The production continues to run the evenings of Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8, with a Sunday, Dec. 9 matinee.

The comedy's lead character is Jacques Clouseau, a French detective, who is played by newcomer Ryan Mooney, Continental. He continually fends off attacks from the deranged Paul Dreyfus, played by Joel Kirkwood, Grand Rapids.

Meanwhile, Clouseau is pursued by Russian agent Olga Berrosiva, played by Faith Miller, Bryan, who loves Clouseau yet must eliminate him. Miller doubles as assistant director and set designer.

Others in the large cast are waiters, butlers, messengers, and assassins: Paul Burger, Wauseon; Shelley Scantlen, Bryan; Jan Delaney, Donna Kinsman, Bill Phelps, Jeff Patterson and Silvester Rodriquez, Archbold; Rachel Wiemken and Mark Bockelman, Napoleon; Sean Kirkwood, Grand Rapids; Emily Rose, rural Ridgeville Corners; Megan Ward, Troy Christman and Caitlin Ward, Montpelier.
