Scenes From Parade Of Lights
A total of 52 entries turned out for the annual Archbold Parade of Lights, Friday, Nov. 23. At top, children of the St. John's Christian Church preschool were dressed as candles with "flame" headdresses for the event. Middle left, ConAgra sponsored its first float in the parade, with its own "Winter Wonderland" theme. Bottom left, soldiers from the U.S. Army's 15th Engineering Company ride aboard the Archbold Fire Department antique pumper truck. Riding the truck were Randy Grime and Josh Gracia, Archbold, and their friends Joshua Wright and Wesley Poucher. All are Army specialists. At right, Mark Holsopple, Archbold, drives the ultimate in portable restroom facilities, a parade entry from Brush Creek Sales & Rentals. The Little Engine That Could Noah Cheney drives a miniature fire truck down N. Defiance St. during the Archbold Parade of Lights, Friday, Nov. 23. The Archbold kindergartener is the son of Rod and Lisa Cheney; Rod is a paramedic/firefighter on the Archbold-German Township Fire Department.
