Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary
      Ervin Haas and Erma Freytag were married Nov. 9, 1957, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. George Hueter officiated the ceremony. They have two children, Diane Gasche, Napoleon, and Mike (Sherry) Haas, Wauseon. They also have three grandchildren.

      Elliana Short was a Pumpkin Festival princess, Saturday, Sept. 15 for the Morton, Ill., event. She rode in the Pumpkin Festival Parade in the Pumpkin Coach with other princess contestants.       Brittni and Brandi Meyer, rural Archbold, are members of the Ashland University Women's Chorus. The daughters of The Chorus performs at a number of campus events, including the Spring Choral Concert.

Area Residents Part of Free Black Swamp Concert
      Five members of the Zion Mennonite Church congregation, Archbold, form the "1 AD" band pronounced "180." They are Bill Beck, Mark Nafziger, Karen Stuckey, Brent Gingrich and Chris Liechty. The group is part of a free program at Crossroads Evangelical Church, Wauseon, Sunday, Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m.

Earns Degree
      Lance R. Wyse, Archbold, received a master's of architecture degree from Kent State University. He was one of 421 students to receive graduate degrees during Kent State's Aug. 21 commencement ceremony for summer graduates.
