      Archbold claimed the Streak Spike-tacular volleyball tournament title, Saturday, Sept. 29, putting away Central Christian 25-29, 25-21 in the championship match. The Streaks defeated Hilltop in their tourney opener 25-10, 25-5. AHS defeated Gibsonburg in the semifinal 25-22, 25-23.

AHS Tennis Beats Toledo Christian
      The Archbold girls tennis team won its first match of the season, Monday, Sept. 24. The Streaks defeated Toledo Christian 3-2. AHS (1-13) was blanked 5- 0 by Maumee Valley Country Day, Tuesday, Sept. 25, and by Napoleon, Thursday, Sept. 27.

      The Pettisville varsity soccer team (7-6) split two games last week. Cardinal Stritch traveled to Blackbird Country, Monday, Sept. 24, and PHS sent the Cardinals home with a 4-2 loss. The Blackbirds traveled to Ottoville, Saturday, Sept. 29, but were unable to come home with a win, falling 6-1.
