Crash Sends Three To Area Hospitals
The FCSD report states Mack A crash at the intersection of Co. Rds. 19 and B sent three persons to area hospitals Saturday, Sept. 15, at about 5:10 pm, a Fulton County Sheriff Department report states.

Rachel E. Mack, 26, Defiance, was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center via helicopter ambulance, which landed at the crash scene. Further information about Mack's condition was not available from UTMC.

Two others, Michael J. Foster, 23, and Hans J. Leininger, 21, who both have rural Archbold addresses, were taken by Archbold Rescue to the Fulton County Health Center, where they were treated and released. was driving a car east on Co. Rd. B, stopped at the Co. Rd. 19 intersection, then drove into the path of a pickup, driven by Foster, in which Leininger was a passenger. The two vehicles collided.

Mack was cited for disobeying a stop sign.

Dana R. Miller, 27, Fayette, was driving a car north on Co. Rd. 25 about 9:28 pm Monday, Sept. 17, when the vehicle collided with a deer.

The FCSD report states it took place about a tenth (.1) of a mile north of Co. Rd. H-J.

- - - Jon D. Schaffner, 66, Pettisville, was involved in a singlevehicle accident about 7:39 pm Thursday, Sept. 13.

The FCSD report on the incident states Schaffner was driving east on St. Rt. 2, when at about Co. Rd. 18, he dropped a cigarette on the floor.

The FCSD report on the crash states that as Schaffner tried to recover the cigarette, the pickup he was driving crossed the road centerline. The truck continued off the left side of the roadway, coming to rest in a grove of trees.

He refused treatment.
