Archbold 8th Grade Volleyball

The Archbold eighth grade volleyball team defeated Fairview 25-23, 19-25, 25- 20, Thursday, Aug. 30.

"The girls played very nervous," said Dina Gladieux, coach. "The first three servers served off the far wall. Once they calmed down and got their serves, they began playing Archbold-style volleyball. Morgan Cody did a super job serving in game one.

"In game two, Sami Wyse had two very nice ground spikes. Abby Short had two spike kills set up by Megan Gerig.

"In game three, Laura Short had four spike kills, two of which were set by Gerig and two were set by Erin Nafziger."

Points won on serves: Cody 9; Laura Short 7; Gerig 6; Tori Williams and Nafziger 5 each; Audrey Stuckey 2; Chelsea Goebel and Katy Small 1 each.
