Archbold Girls Soccer Wins Three, Ties One
      The Archbold girls soccer team won three games and tied one in its first two weeks of action. The Streaks started the season Tuesday, Aug. 21, hosting Springfield. The first game was not an easy one, but Archbold came out on top 5-4.

Goering, Dunning Break Records As Streaks Mangle Bears 48-27

      Gene Goering connected on a blistering 18 of 24 attempts for a record-setting 458 yards and five touchdowns, and Jimmy Dunning caught a record-setting 93-yard touchdown pass as Archbold coasted to a 48-27 Northwest Ohio Athletic League victory over visiting Bryan, Friday, Aug. 31.

      The Pettisville golf team was winless last week in four league and non-league matches. The Blackbirds lost both ends of a tri-match with Montpelier and Archbold at Wauseon, Monday, Aug. 27. Archbold won the match with a team score of 165. Montpelier totaled 199, while Pettisville had a 212.

Archbold Youth Soccer Club
      The Archbold Blue Streaks youth soccer club, formerly Black Swamp, kicked off its fourth year with three girls teams and seven boys teams ranging in age from 9-and-under to 18-and-under. The 10 teams feature 119 players, with most seasonopening matches occurring after Labor Day.
