Man Spots Possible Burglar At Residence

Chad Everly, 1304 S. Buehrer St., told Archbold Police he might have startled a burglar at his residence.

Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief, said officers are investigating the incident.

In his report to police, Everly said he left his home about 10:30 am, Sunday, Sept. 2.

When he returned home about 3:49 pm, he entered through a garage door and saw movement and heard a back screen door move.

He told officers he saw a tall white male, with longish black or dark brown hair running east towards South Defiance Street.

Nothing was missing from his property, he told officers.
