Linda Lauber New German Township Zoning Inspector

The German Township Trustees named Linda Lauber, rural Archbold, the new township zoning inspector.

Mari Yoder, fiscal officer of German Township, said the trustees met in executive session for about 15 minutes during the Monday, Aug. 27 meeting.

When they returned from the closed-door session, they appointed Lauber to the post.

Yoder said Lauber has served for more than five years on the township zoning commission, giving her a familiarity with the recently-revised zoning code. She had expressed interest in the position.

The part-time position pays $5,000 a year.

She replaces Marvin Nafziger, the first township zoning inspector. He resigned, effective Sept. 30. Lauber takes over Oct. 1.

Yoder said Lauber will resign her post on the zoning commission. Yoder expects the trustees to name a replacement by October.
