Police Receive Multiple Theft Reports In Area Archbold Police officers received a number of theft reports recently. Randy Dickman, Napoleon, told officers someone at 4:06 am Wednesday, Aug. 8, entered his unlocked pickup truck, parked in the Fypon parking lot, and took binoculars valued at $80, can of chewing tobacco, $3, and 15¢ in change. The theft occurred between 10 pm Tuesday, Aug. 7 and 3 am the following day. A theft was reported at Betty's Restaurant at 6:04 am Aug. 8. The thief broke a window to gain entry, and took cash. The theft occurred between 2:15 p.m. Aug. 7, and 5:50 am the following day. Christina Rosales, 202 Middle St., told police at 9:05 am Aug. 8 someone entered her vehicle and took cash and compact discs while the vehicle was parked at her residence, between 12:30 am and 8:35 am Aug. 8. Wallets Tara L. Michels, rural Bryan, told officers at 10:20 am Thursday, Aug. 9, a thief or thieves took her wallet while she was working at Sauder Woodworking. The theft occurred sometime between 5 am and 7 am that day. Ruben Pagan, rural Defiance, reported his wallet was stolen from a desk drawer at Bil-Jax. Pagan told police officers he put the wallet in the drawer about 2 am Aug. 9; He went home, forgetting he'd left the wallet in the drawer. Upon returning at 9:45 pm Aug. 9, it was gone. Fannie Flint, West Unity, told officers on Aug. 10 cash was missing from her wallet while she was at work at Fairlawn Haven, between 5 am and 7:30 am. Bicycle Jennifer Davis, Archbold, reported a bicycle stolen from the Archbold Swimming pool. Martin Schmidt, Archbold police chief, said some of the incidents may be related.
